Change happens one breath at a time, one thought at a time
I work from a holistic perspective, taking into account your whole being and life experience. My approach integrates traditional psychodynamic talk therapy, cognitive behavioral treatments, mindfulness and somatic experience. I am a certified yoga teacher and long-time practitioner of yoga and mindfulness meditation and if you're interested we can use some of those tools in our work together. My approach explores the past and present as well as focuses on techniques that help develop a mind-body connection, to facilitate emotional, physical and mental well-being. Throughout our work I encourage feedback so that we are tailoring the therapy to meet your specific needs and goals. I believe in the importance of slowing down, despite how impossible it seems, being more present, identifying triggers, labelling emotions and allowing yourself to feel them, self compassion and self care. You are the expert on yourself and your life and my role is to listen, be curious with you and provide feedback that is helpful and reflective of what you are sharing with me.
